I trained at the British School of Osteopathy from 1980-1984. Since graduating I have gained experience by working with more senior osteopaths, and by working from my own practice, which I opened in 1986. From 1992 – 2002 for part of each week I taught students of osteopathy at The British College of Osteopathy and Naturopathy, now called The British College of Osteopathic Medicine. I taught osteopathic technique, which is the day-to-day hands-on work that osteopaths use in their practices. I also worked as a tutor in the BCNO outpatients clinic, where I supervised small groups of students as they individually treated patients. Patients of all ages with problems in many different parts of their structure would come seeking help at the Clinic.

From 1992 to the present day I have been treating patients in a GP group practice (The Clapham Family Practice) in South London. I do that work for half the week. It has widened my scope of practice by allowing me to treat people from many different cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, including some of those who otherwise would not be able to afford private osteopathic fees. The other half of my week is spent treating patients from my own practice, The Wandsworth Osteopathic Practice.

I am passionate about continuing to learn. I go to talks, conferences, and study with other osteopaths. For example, in 2007, I gained a basic understanding of the Alexander Technique by going to evening classes for several weeks.
